November 11, 2008 Stand Up and Be Counted!
The Austin / Travis County Annual Veterans'
Day Parade is a time when the community comes out and pays respects to veterans. Every year special attention is given
to a group of heros or units that have done something outstanding or extraordinary. This year for the first time ever
Women Veterans will be honored! We invite you to walk or ride along side your sister vets.
Date:
November 11, 2008 (Tuesday)
Parade Line up: 8:00am till 8:50am
Parade
Kick off: 9:00am
Uniform of the Day: If you can still fit in to your uniform
please wear it. If not you are welcom to wear black slacks or jeans and a Gray T-shirt that says your branch of service
such as: Airforce, Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard
Who Can participate: All Veterans
are invited however, we encourage Women Veterans to Walk or Ride with us.
